I found my old cassette case today - an old CaseLogic zip-up with 30 cassettes in it. Some were store bought, but most were my compilations and songs I'd pulled off TV - live performances - Marc Cohn on Austin City Limits with Leo Kottke following him . . . U2 on SNL . . . Bette Midler's final song for Johnny Carson, from his last show.
Since my car doesn't even have a cassette player in it, I took a few with us in the Wagon Queen Family Truckster as we went to dinner this evening. The kids were into the experiment as well - the music has aged well.
New project - transfer songs from these cassettes (the rarities that cannot be found elsewhere) to my iTunes for my iPod. Can't wait!!
